Gregory C. Mault, age 70 of Lima, passed Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at home. He was born November 27, 1950 to the late Charles and Virginia (Osborn) Mault in Lima, Ohio.
He served our country in the U.S. Army from 1970 – 1976. Greg retired in 2004 from Ford Motor Company, Lima Engine Plant and worked various other jobs after retirement. He was a member of the U.A.W. 1219.
In his younger years he was an accomplished commercial artist. When he first laid eyes on his long-time wife and life partner, he commented to his coworkers, “I’m going to marry that girl.” It took about seven years, but he did just that on July 8, 1987. He married Cheryl Sprague and she survives.
Also surviving is his son – Joshua Mault; two grandchildren – Joshua, Jr. and Anika, also a granddaughter in heart – Jessica Radel; four brothers – Dennis (Connie) Mault; Mark (Kathie) Mault; Elvis (Theresa) Mault; Bradley (Lisa) Mault and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother – David Lee Mault.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville.
Military rites will be observed, 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 23, 2021 by V.F.W. Post 1275 of Lima. A memorial service will begin 6:00 p.m., Tuesday. His nephew, Dalton Mault will officiate.
