Harold E. Emrick, 94, of Cridersville died 10:50 a.m., Wednesday Jan. 15 at Lima Memorial Health Systems. He was born Feb. 26, 1919 in Wayne Township to Orion L. and Vera Opal Feikert Emrick. He married Hazel P. Whitaker Feb. 16, 1973 and she survives in Cridersville.
Mr. Emrick was a member of Cridersville United Methodist Church. He had been a farmer, drove a rural route paper delivery for The Wapakoneta Daily News for 15 years and retired from Fisher Cheese where he had been a supervisor.
Additional survivors include 2 sons: Gary Emrick of Berryville, VA, David (Maryann) Emrick of London, Ohio, 2 daughters: Sondra (Norb) Ebbeskotte of Delphos and Linda (Gary) Hollar of Elida, 9 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren, a sister Elnora Emrick of Cridersville, 3 stepsons: Gary Wisner of Delphos, Danny (Cheryl) Wisner of Waynesfield and David (Michelle) Wisner of Ryan, Ohio; a step daughter Mildred (Steve) Behr of Rockhill, SC, 10 step grandchildren and several step great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Friday at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. The funeral will begin 2:00 p.m., Saturday Jan. 18 at the funeral home with Rev. Charles Martindell officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to Hazel.
