Harry Joe Pauff age 91, of Lima passed away 8:05 a.m., Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at Lima Memorial. He was born April 18, 1930 in Allen County to the late Ruhlin Gus and Hazel Alfreda (Putnam) Pauff. He married Roberta June ‘Birdie’ Nungester Jan. 4, 1951 and she preceded him in death Nov. 22, 2019.
Harry was a longtime member of Southside Christian Church. He graduated from Lima South in 1948. He went on to serve in the Marines during the Korean War. He was a member of Lima VFW Post 1275, American Legion Post 96, the Korean War Veteran’s Association and Eagles Aerie 370. After a long career he retired from SOHIO/ BP Chemical. He was a fan of Ohio State Buckeyes, Cincinnati Reds and the Cleveland Browns. He loved his many pets over the years and loved watching TV with his family. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include children: April L. (Michael D.) Johns of Lima, Steven (Arleen) Pauff of Newnan, GA and Chris A. (Kelly) Pauff of Lima, 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by siblings Virginia Pauff and Ruhlin G. Pauff, Jr.
The family will receive friends Friday, Nov. 5, 2021 1-3 p.m. with military rites at 3 and 4-6 p.m. at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. The funeral service will begin at 6 with Rev. Todd Cosart officiating. A private celebration of life and burial will be at a later date and burial of cremated remains will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to Southside Christian Church, the Korean War Association or V. F. W. Post 1275 Lima.
