Henry M. ‘Bud’ Amrine age 97, of Lima passed away 11:12 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2022 at his residence. He was born Sept. 17, 1924 in Milford Center, Ohio to the late Max Calderwood and Hallie (Johnson) Amrine. He married Susan K. Starn May 6, 1961 and she survives in Lima.
Bud had served in the U. S. Army during WW II in the 66th Black Panther Division and received a Purple Heart. He retired from Ford Motor Company where he had been an electrician. He enjoyed many winters in Florida and Bud was a member of the Elks, Eagles, Moose V. F. W. Post 1275 and American Legion.
Additional survivors include daughters: Debbie (Bob) Piefke of Atlanta, Vikki Amrine of New Port Beach, CA, Arden (Mark Finn) Ruen of Lima, Pamala Amrine of Lima and Lynda White of Columbus; grandchildren: Derek (Brad Stephens) Ruen, Jennifer Ruen, Elizabeth (Scott) Burton and Jim (Erin) Ketterer, 8 great grandchildren: Madison, Ava, Sophia, Evan, Garrett, Thor, Tiber and Teis; a brother Ron (Phyllis) Amrine of Urbana and a sister Nancy Meeks of Mechanicsburg.
He was preceded in death by 7 siblings.
The family wishes to give special thanks to the hospice caregivers. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to CHP Health and Hospice. Per Bud’s request there will be no public services at this time.
