Isabel Williams

Isabel Williams age 98, of Cridersville passed away at midnight, Thursday, January 19, 2023.  She was born Dec, 8, 1924 in Lima to the late Ira T. and Orpha Mae (Himes) Sterrett.  She married Luther Williams Feb. 14, 1946 and he preceded her in death Nov. 2, 1991.

Isabel attended Rousculp Church of Christ and formerly attended Shawnee Church of Christ where she had taught Sunday school for years.  She had been a teacher’s aide for Waynesfield Goshen Schools and had volunteered with the Red Cross for many years.

Survivors include children:  Terry (Robin) Williams of Dayton, Patty (Merlin) Hinkle of Cridersville and Kay (Tom) Born of Galena, a daughter-in-law Sherrill Williams of Lima; 11 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son Tim Williams and siblings:  Bernard Sterrett, Cyril Strerrett, Ruth Taylor, Elayne Wheelbarger and Dorothy Tigner.

Private family service will be held and burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the staff at Otterbein-Cridersville and St. Rita’s Hospice for all of their love and care.
