Jacqueline “Jackie” Robinson, age 73 of Lima, died at 12:55 p.m., Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at Lima Manor Nursing Home. She was born April 1, 1941 in Lima, Ohio; to the late John Adams and Lorene Schwinnen Jay. On July 4, 1959 she married Donald Lee Robinson who preceded her in death on April 1, 1985.
Mrs. Robinson retired from J.C. Penney’s store. She graduated from Lima South High School , a member of the Lima Baptist Temple, and had a great love for cats.
She is survived by her best friend and confident for over 20 years Robert ‘Bob’ Miller of Lima; two sister-in-laws – Donna (Pete) McPheron and Marilyn (Wes, dec.) Shanklin; a grandnephew – Greg (Tina) Evans; a grandniece – Jenifer Evans(Ben) Frail; first Cousins – Larry (Ronna) Jay and David (Iris) Jay; and several other nephews, nieces, and second and third cousins.
Funeral services will begin 1:00 p.m., Friday, July 25, 2014 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. Rev. Gary Hohman will officiate. Burial will follow in Osborn Cemetery, Monroe Township, near Columbus Grove.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
