James Cecil Jones, age 85 of Buckland, passed at 9:25p.m., Sunday, December 6, 2015 at St. Rita’s Medical Center, surrounded by his family. He was born April 21, 1930 in Westborne, TN; to the late Willie and Lee Webb Jones. On April 21, 1952 he married Helen Jean Lamarr who survives in Buckland.

Mr. Jones retired as a crane operator from General Dynamics.

He is also survived by 2 sons – Clyde (Brenda) Goins of Union Grove, Alabama; James Cecil ( Lee Ann) Jones, Jr. of Buckland; 4 daughters – JoAnn (Michael) Haas of Wapakoneta; Julie Marie (Dave) Williams of Sacramento, CA; Linda Sue (James) Johnson of Buckland; Sandra Kaye (Eric) Truesdale of Wapakoneta; 9 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 3 brothers – Carl Jones; Ralph Jones; John Jones all of St. Mary’s; 3 sisters – Evalene ‘Eve’ Albers; Joan Sloan; and Ann (Dave) Gaberdiel all of Colorado.

He was preceded in death by a son – Jeffrey T. Jones who died Oct. 7, 1978; a daughter – Judith L. Jones who died April 19, 2005; a grandson – Jeb T. Johnson who died September 7, 2013; a brother – William ‘Bill’ Jones.

A memorial serivce will begin 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 10, 2015 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. Rev. Kent Place will officiate. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
