James R. Coyle age 88, of Cridersville passed away 4:46 p.m., January 24, 2022 at St. Rita’s Medical Center. He was born May 24, 1933 in Lima to the late Jacob ‘Jake’ and Edna Margaret (Reineke) Coyle. He married Maureen Ann Cassidy and she preceded him in death Oct. 27, 2012.
Jim had retired from Scot Lad Foods as a truck driver.
He was a member of the Wapak Eagles and enjoyed collecting trains, ships and light houses. He loved to watch old westerns. Jim had served in the Coast Guard.
Survivors include 4 daughters: Linda (Daniel) McCune of Wapak, Debbie (Mark) Harshbarger of Wapak, Pat (Kim) Weiler of St. Mary’s and Holly (Donnie Browning) Wallace of Sidney, 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren and a sister Nancy Wagner.
He was preceded in death by a grandson and a great grandson.
The family will receive friends Friday 2 to 7 p.m. at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Father Jedidiah Tritle officiating. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery near Uniopolis.
Memorial contributions may be given to Uniopolis Rescue or the LCC Foundation.
