James F. Romaker, 64, of Lima died 11:06 p.m., Tuedsay Nov. 29 at St. Rita’s Medical Center. He was born May 24, 1947 in Columbus to James Richard and Katherine June ‘Kate’ Bonfiglio Romaker, his mother survives in Lima and his father preceded him in death. He married Barbara Ann Woolf Oct. 5, 1974 and she survives in Lima.
Survivors include a son: Jason Romaker of Lima, 4 brothers: Dr. Ralph (Marlene) Romaker of Lancaster, OH, Charles (Gina) Romaker of Chicago, IL, Anthony (Eva) Romaker of Columbus, OH, Robert (Jane Ann) Romaker of Albany, NY, 2 sisters: Caroline (Tony) Scarozza of Buffalo, NY and Mary (Russell) Bales of Lima, 5 grandchildren Dylan Romaker, Gaby Romaker, Karlie Romaker,Landon Fields and Dylan Miller.
He was preceded in death by a son David Romaker who died in 2002.
Mr. Romaker had been a comptroller for Miller Textiles. He had served in the U. S. Air Force during Vietnam. He was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church, Lima, Eagles Lodge, Aerie 370, CPA Association, graduate of University of Toledo with a CPA degree, enjoyed playing cards with family and friends and was an avid O.S. U. Football and Cleveland Browns fan.
Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 Friday at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. The funeral service will begin 12:30 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. David Ross officiating, burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Lima.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. John’s Catholic Church.
