James G. Pinks, age 70, of Carey died 10:06 p.m., Monday Jan. 26 at Blanchard Valley Hospice. He was born Dec. 22, 1944 in Royalton, KY to the late Dewey and Gracie Allen Pinks.
Mr. Pinks had been a tree trimmer and had served in the U.S. Marine Corps during Vietnam.
Survivors include 2 sons: Jimmy (Carmen) Pinks and Ferlin (Terri) Pinks both of Harrod, a brother: Philip (Janet) Pinks of Dunkirk and 3 sisters: Deborah (Gregg) Garver of Ada, Joyce Whitaker of Kenton and Saundra (Ed) McCracken of McGuffey.
He was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Alfred, Tommy and Billy Pinks and 2 sisters: Carol Conley and Mary Garver.
Family graveside services will be at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery, Virginia.
