James H. Newland age 59, of Rossford, passed away Monday, Dec. 27, 2021 at University of Toledo Medical Center. He was born March 26, 1962 in Lima to Ottis N. ‘Sonny’ and Shirley A. (Moyer) Newland. His father survives in Lima and mother preceded him in death May 14, 2021.
Jim had been an accountant for Arnolds Home Improvement. He graduated from Shawnee High School and Findlay University with a bachelors in accounting. He was a member of Westside United Methodist Church, where he had been very active and attended Cedar Creek Church Perrysburg Campus. He loved being with family and rarely missed an event for his 4 nephews. Jim always had a smile and could see the good in every situation.
Additional survivors include 4 brothers: John (Sara) Newland of Lima, Jeffrey Newland of Lima, Joseph (Joan) Newland of Lima and Jason Newland of Cleveland; 4 nephews: Kyle (Shelbi) Newland of Toledo, Keenan, Kurtis and Logan Newland all of Lima and great nephews Rhett and Reid Newland of Toledo.
Family will recieve friends Friday, March 25 form 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home,a celebration of life will be held Saturday, 10:00 a.m. March 26 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville with Pastor Dan Lee officiating burial in Shawnee Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Kidney Foundation or the Toledo Zoo.

Jim was truly my best friend and someone I could always confide in. He was such a good person and I truly miss him alot. He was just like a brother to me and his family was just like a second family to me.
