James L. Hollon, age 71, of Wapakoneta died 11:45 a.m. Sunday, June 19, 2016 at Lima Memorial Health Systems. He was born March 25, 1945 in Lima, Ohio to the late Dewey and Golden Elkins Hollon. He married Betty A. Lynn March 31, 1967 and she survives in Wapakoneta.
Jim had retired from Lima Ford Motor Company, Lima Engine Plant where he had been a supervisor. He belonged to Lima Senior Citizens Bowling League and was the former Pastor of House of Prayer in Kenton, Ohio. He served in the U. S. Army from 1962 to 1967.
Additional survivors include 3 daughters: Rebecca S. (Chad) Jacobs of Sugar Creek, OH, Teresa M. (Doug) Meyer of South Lyon, MI and Belinda Hollon of Germany, 7 grandchildren: Alex James Meyer, Caleb Jocobs, Lexis Meyer, Dakota James Jacobs, Sierra Jacobs, Madison Lynn Meyer and Carly Jacobs; 3 brothers: Judge (Jane) Hollon, Bill (Elizabeth) Hollon, Charles (Ruth) Hollon and a sister Martha (Mike) Gross all of Lima.
A celebration of life service will be held 7:00 p.m. Friday June 24, 2016 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville, Pastor Dan Holbrook will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the donor’s favorite charity.
