Jan Dean ‘Crusher’ Nickells age 54, of Lima passed away, Friday, Dec. 10, 2021 at St. Rita’s Mercy Health. He was born Nov. 4, 1967 in Lima to the late Sam & Virgie (Williams) Nickells. He married Misti Dawn Bicknell July 6, 2000 who survives in Lima.
Jan enjoyed hunting, fishing, hanging out and being with family. He was an avid Michigan and Steelers fan, always razing his daughter about football. He was a member of the Orioles.
Additional survivors include children: Austin (Ashley) Nickells of Montpelier, OH, Dylan Nickells of Lima, Madison Nickells of Pioneer, OH and Makenzi Nickells of Lima; grandchildren: Reese & Kash Nickells, Cason Cook and Blakely Jordan; siblings: Walter (Theresa) Nickells of Edon, Sam (Dawn) Nickells of Edon, Diane (William) Pugh of Edgerton, Cindy (Dennis) Kutz of Edgerton and Kelly Jon Nickells of St. Paul, MN; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by siblings: Barb Swickrath, Tom, Darrell, Charles and Danny Nickells.
The family will receive friends Wed, Dec. 15 11 to 1 p.m. at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. The funeral will follow at 1 with Rev. Thomas Miller officiating.
Memorial contributions may be given to the family.

We are so incredibly sorry for your loss 😞 We have many memories of Jan, from being in our wedding and attending Browns/Steeler games. I’ll never forget how he and I would go back and forth, like brother and sister, always razzing him when he’d say “I don’t give a hell”….. we knew he did 😀 Thinking and praying for his family and all who loved him!
