Jane (Lelia) Hinel, age 83 of Lima and formerly of the Smokey Mountains,
died at 10:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at Lima Memorial Health Care. She was born February 6, 1933 in Bell County, Kentucky; to the late Charley and Mayo Jackson Janeway. She married Leo Hinel who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Hinel had retired as a clerk with General Motors Corporation. She was a member of Cridersville United Methodist Church.

She is survived by 2 sons – M. David (Jelle) Hinel of Amsterdam, Holland; Danny (Carmella) Hinel of Westfield, Indiana; 3 grandchildren – Erich (Monica) Hinel; Gina (Kent) Games; Michael Hinel; a great granddaughter – Morgan Hinel; a brother – Bill Janeway of Kentucky; 3 sisters – Jean Fox of Lima; Elsie Givens of Indiana; Haley Hulley of Kentucky; several nieces and nephews, and her special dog companion, Angel.

She was preceded in death by 3 brothers – Melvin Simpson; Paul Janeway; Roy Janeway; 6 sisters – Leona Brogan; Marie Margraves; Bea Augustes; Lucille Money; Juanita Gambrel; and Irene Pratt.

Memorial services will begin 10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 9, 2016 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. Rev. Casey Irwin will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m., Friday, July 8, 2016 at the funeral home.
