Jay L. Waggoner age 91, of Wapakoneta died 6:09 p. m., Thursday March 8, 2012 at St. Rita’s Medical Center. He was born Feb. 15, 1921 in Lima to Paris Lester and Gertrude Elizabeth Gnagy Waggoner, both parents are deceased. He married Anna Rose Hahn June 14, 1947 and she survives in Wapakoneta.
Mr. Waggoner retired from Ford Motor Company where he had been a tool and die maker. He served in the U. S. Army during WW II and was a lifetime member of V. F. W. Post 1275. He was member of the St. Charles Parish and was an avid golfer, hunter and fisherman.
Additional survivors include a son Donald Waggoner of Marietta, GA, 3 daughters: Ann (Dan) Rhue of Lima, Barbara (Bob) Sampson of Seattle, WA and Kay (Mark) Calvelage of Wapakoneta, 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by 6 siblings: Clarence, Raymond, Harold, Lester and Robert Waggoner and Edna Main.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
