Jean Pickering, age 77 of Wellston and formerly of Lima, passed at 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Lima Memorial Hospital. She was born December 13, 1941 in Lima, to the late Harry and Vivian Hefner McGue.
Jean was a homemaker and a member of the American Legion Post in Lima and transferred her membership to Wellston. She loved to play cards and cook. Her hobbies included collecting Jewelry and coins.
She is survived by a son – Doug E. (Nicki) Golden of Celina; 2 daughters – Tonya L. Rohrer of New Hampshire and Diane L. Myers of Wellston; 8 grandchildren – Alan Golden, Andy Golden, Amber Parker, David Jones, Keith Jones, Bill Jones, Joshalynn Downing, Tommy Jones; 20 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; 3 brothers – Tommy McGue of Lima; Scott McGue of Lima; Mike McGue of Lima; 2 sisters – Jan Martin of AZ; Doneta Warren of Lima.
She was preceded in death by 2 brothers – David McGue and Charles McGue and a sister Harriette Fultz.
Private burial will be in Shawnee Cemetery.
A celebration of Jean’s life will be at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Putnam County Hospice.
