Jeanette Jones, age 79 of Wapakoneta, died 11:00 a.m., Thursday, November 19, 2009 in Cridersville Health Care. She was born October 4, 1930 in Middlesboro, Bell County, Kentucky. On March 4, 1950 she married James E. “Bud” Jones, who died March 6, 1997.
Survivors include 1 son – James Edward “Jim” Jones of Cridersville; 2 daughters – Beverly Ann (Anthony S.) Rampe of Wapakoneta; Linda Kay McClintock of Wapakoneta; 5 grandsons; 2 great grandchildren; 3 brothers – James M. (Betty) Raines of Lima; Jerry W. (Chris) Raines of Wapakoneta; Carl B. Raines of Lima; 3 sisters – Fay Troyer of Kalida; Diana Dickson of Lima; Carolyn Stolzenburg of Spencerville.
She was preceded in death by 2 brothers – William H. Raines and Frank D. “Blackie” Raines.
Mrs. Jones was retired from Ravella in Lima. She later worked independently as an electrician and a professional housekeeper. She had worked at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home. She was a very loving caregiver, who had a strong conviction for church, and had great affection for her family. She was a former member of the Bethel Baptist Church, Lima and a member of the Only Believe Ministries in Botkins. Her passions were window shopping, rocks, going on road trips, a great lover of cats and was also a photographer.
There will be a celebration of Jeanette’s life and a time of sharing starting at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. Burial will follow in St. Matthew Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer’s Foundation or the Humane Society.
