Jeffrey Alan Gilbert, 65, of Cridersville passed away unexpectedly on January 29, 2021 at his residence. He was born on August 22, 1955 in Lima to Richard I. (deceased) and Janet L. (Gibson) Gilbert Stedcke, who survives in Lima.
Jeff was a 1973 graduate of Elida High School. Because of his love for all types of music, he worked at Mind Dust Music in Elida for several years and was known as Baron Von Rock, Entertainer. He owned and operated an arcade on the east side of Lima in the 1980’s. Jeff was retired from his job as a self- employed painter.
Jeff was a talented guitarist and served at Shawnee Alliance Church in the sound booth.
He enjoyed playing his keyboard and guitars, reading all types of books, and researching information about history. Jeff enjoyed watching episodes of The Andy Griffith Show.
Surviving are his children Jeffrey Gilbert, Jr. and Jennifer Jeffers and 3 grandchildren (Hayley, Tony, and Reagan) all of Ottawa, brother Richard (Lois) Gilbert and sister Lisa (Greg) Ciminillo, both of Lima.
In addition to his father, he was predeceased by both sets of grandparents: Bruce and Farol Gibson and Charles and Goldie Gilbert.
A memorial service will be held 7:00 p.m., Monday, February 8th at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville with Pastor Kris Browning officiating.
The family will receive friends two hours prior to services and ask that social distancing be observed.
Memorial contributions may be given to the charity of the donor’s choice.
