Jeffrey Lynn Hollstein, age 66 of Lima, died at 9:50 a.m., Monday, January 9, 2017 at his residence. He was born November 1, 1950 in Wauseon, Ohio to the late Ford and Mary Ellen Slemp Hollstein.
Mr. Hollstein was a retired conductor with the CSX Railroad. He was a member of the Moose Lodge #199 and the Eagles Lodge #370 both of Lima. His passion included golf and softball, which he was a very good player. He played on championship and national softball teams.
He is survived by 2 sons – Jeffrey Scott (Sulee) Hollstein of Lima; Jayson Lee (Brandy) Hollstein of Elida; a daughter – Tracy J. (Bill) McDonnell of Lima; 10 grandchildren – Natalee, Ashlee, Cody, Kylee, Scotty, Jaydon, Zoey, Olivia, Isabelle, and London; a great granddaughter – Carlee; his sibilings – Lois Brown of FL; Mike (Darlene) Hollstein of MI; Randy Hollstein of Las Vegas; Becky (Paul) Rose of Las Vegas; Julie (Richard) Wonderly of Bryan, OH; and Callie Larsen of FL.
He was preceded in death by a sister – Laurie Hollstein and a brother – Dennis Hollstein.
Per Jeffrey’s wishes, he will be cremated and a private family celebration of his life will take place at a later date.
