Jerry Lee Wahlie, 80, went into eternal rest on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at his residence in Los Fresnos, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Wanda Wahlie, a son, Daniel Wahlie, a daughter Elizabeth Wahlie his 1st wife, Tamara Wahlie and a brother Joe Wahlie
He was a United States Air Force Veteran.
Jerry worked for Ford Motor Co. for 35 years in the engine department in Lima, Ohio.
He also did Missionary work for many years in Africa, Bulgaria, Haiti, Dominican Republic, Panama, Costa Rica, and numerous other 3rd world countries.
Mr. Wahlie is survived by his wife, Raquel G. Wahlie; his children, Mark (Cathy) Wahlie, Andrew “Andy” Wahlie, Lorelei (Mathew) Zickafoose, Bruce (Ashley) Wahlie, Aaron Wahlie, Rick (Rosemary) Chavez, Xenia (Fidencio) Reyes and Lynda Noble; his siblings, Jim (Carol) Wahlie, Linda (Mark) Valentine and Shmuel Wahli; Numerous nephews and nieces; his caretaker whom he loved like a daughter, Emma Ayala; 15 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m., Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville.
Memorial services will begin 4:00 p.m., Saturday, April, 23, 2015 at the funeral home. Military rites will be observed by the V.F.W. Post 1275 of Lima.
