Joan Bradford Weitz age 81, of Lima passed away 4:45 a.m., Feb. 7, 2021 at Lima Memorial. She was born Sept. 20, 1939 in Lima to the late Melvin B. and Erma B. Reed Bradford.
Joan retired from Sprint Telephone as a service analyst after 30 years of service. After her retirement she worked part time for Neighborhood Cleaners. Joan was also a member of the Sprint Pioneer Club.
Survivors include children: Susan (David) Short of Fostoria, Michael (Rachell) Weitz of Lima and Paul (Chris) Weitz of Mansfield, 7 grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, a brother Billie S. Harnshfeger of Lima, and a sister Shirley R. Higbie of Elida. Joan helped raise a special great grandson Chance Reed Weitz.
A private family service has been held. Memorial contributions may be given to ASPCA or the Pioneer Club.
