Joan Ulm, 81, of Lima died 1:21 p.m., Wed. June 30, 2001 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born Nov. 30, 1928 in Lima to Merle and Mildred Sykes Michael. Both parents are deceased. She married Edward W. Ulm June 16, 1950 and he preceded her in death Jan. 15, 2002.
Survivors include a son: Michael (Deb) Ulm of Lima, 2 daughters: Robin (Tim) Snider of Cridersville and Sally (Curt) Swank of Lima, 8 grandchildren: Megan Snider, Chad Snider, Darin Rumer, Dana Rumer, Devin Rumer, Brandt Davis, Travis Hall and Ryan Hall, 10 great grandchildren and a sister: Janice (Fred) Basinger of Lima.
She was preceded in death by a daughter and son-in-law Cindy (Gary) Hall; a sister – Ellen Allgire; a brother and sister-in-law Marlin (Ruth) Michael.
Mrs. Ulm was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Lima a member of the Class of 1946 at Lima South and an auxiliary member of the Lima Am. Legion, Lima V. F. W. and the Wapak Eagles. She had been a volunteer with St. Rita’s with more than 2000 hours.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Sat. July 3 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville with Johnathon Carver officiating and Lemar Roebuck giving the Tribute, burial will follow at Shawnee Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Rita’s Hospice.
