John J. Muleski, Jr., age 74 of Cridersville, died at 2:52 p.m., Saturday, July 29, 2017 at the main campus of Ohio State University. He was born August 19, 1942 in Lima, Ohio
the son of the late John Joseph Muleski, Sr. and Connie Routson Muleski Wooddell.
On October 6, 1962 he married Barbara A. Smith Maus who survives. His step mothers Shirley Muleski survives in Cridersville and Loretta Wooddell of Lima.
Prior to his retirement from Honda of America, Anna; he had worked 26 years for Ohio Steel Foundry. He was a graduate of Bath High School and a member of St. John’s Catholic Church, Lima. His memberships included the V.F.W. Post 8445, the AmVets Post 333, American Legion Post 330, all of Wapakoneta; the Moose Lodge of Indian Lake, and the Eagles Lodge 370 of Lima.
John enjoyed watching NASCAR, SPRINT, NFL and college football. He looked forward to socializing with his friends at the local clubs and sharing stories at happy hour. Treasured were his mornings, drinking coffee with the newspaper on the patio, watching and feeding the local wildlife. His greatest love was his family and spending time with them. He had fun watching his grandchildren’s sporting events and he always looked forward to the annual family trips to Indian River, Michigan where they vacationed every June for 54 years. Usually twice a year he and Barbara would visit Lake Erie and the Marblehead Lighthouse. He also enjoyed vacationing with close friends.
Other survivors also include 3 daughters – Michelle Buehler of St. Mary’s; Denise Kohler of Wapakoneta; Heather (Vince) Jolly of Wapakoneta; 1 step son – Mark (Kim) Maus; 9 grandchildren – Richelle, Makayla, and Rhett Buehler; Shelby Kohler; Grace, Sophia, Grant Jolly; Kevin(Kylie), Kyle Maus; a great grandchild – Kinley Maus; a half brother – Mark Muleski of Lima; 3 half sisters – Marjorie Teutsch,of Lima, Cheryl Wannamacher and Sandy Maldenado; 1 step sister – Judy Faccenda of Lima.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 3, 2017 at St. John’s Catholic Church, Lima. Father David Ross will officiate. Burial will follow in Gethsemani Cemetery, Lima.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday
at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville.
