My Dad lived a long, full, and active life. A little arithmetic reminded me that he spent more years in retirement than he spent at work. Not bad! That gave him the time to do the traveling he always wanted to do. I think, in the end, he was satisfied with his life and had done many of the things he wanted, and had few regrets. You can't do much better than that. He was loved, and will long be remembered and missed by many. Julie, Lee, and I hope he is resting peacefully. Steve
We loved you Dad. You were so much fun growing up. Vacations every year. Funny. Caring. Patient. You are missed by all who knew you.
I am so sorry for your loss. He was a quiet caring man. He was always so pleasant to be around on those few occasions over the years I had the opportunity to be in his company. I’m so glad, Chris, that you got to spend so much time with him in those later years. I know you have wonderful memories of some of those trips - those are the ones that will fill your heart when the fresh hurt recedes.
He was a sweet and kind guy. He was like a second father to me, always remembering my birthday, Christmas and special occasions. I am going to miss talking and visiting him.
Will surely miss our daily phone calls these last few years. Will miss your sense of humor, your incredible memory of things that happened decades ago, and your stories. Thanks for your attitude, your patience, and your love.
