John W. Deal, age 46 of Lima, left this world at 8:48 a.m., Sunday, January 22, 2017 in Lima Memorial Health Care’s emergengy room. He was born May 2, 1970 in Allen County, to John W. Arnett, who preceded him in death and his mother – Wanda G. Stephens Arnett who survives in Lima. On April 4, 1997 he married Kathy McKee who survives in Lima.

John was a construction worker. His hobbies included fishing, coin collecting, camping and cooking. He was an avid Pittsburg Steelers fan, had a great love of all animals, but his greatest love was his family.

Also surviving are his 5 children – Jon Deal; Shawn Deal; Travis Deal; Kaitlyn Deal; and Sara McKee; 8 grandchildren – Sariah Seals, Jonathon Seals, Benny Crist, Ashton Crist, Gage Crist, Cecilia Deal, Skyler Deal, and Katalina Deal; 4 brothers – Eric (Renee) Deal of Lima; Kurt (fiancee Cynthia) Ritcher of Clarksville, TN; Andy Collins of Lima; James (Susan) Arnett of Van Wert; 2 sisters – Jennifer Ritcher of Lima and Michele Cortes of Cincinnati; father-in-law – Bob McKee of Lima; a sister-in-law – Maria (Mark) Mayer of Spencerville; 3 brother-in-laws – Bobby McKee, Jr. of Lima; Mike (Leslie) McKee of Lima; and Matt McKee of Lima.

He was preceded in death by 3 children – Mark Jacob Deal, Derrick Deal, and Meagan Deal; and a mother-in-law – Ruth McKee.

Funeral services will begin – 3:00 p.m., Friday, January 27, 2017 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. His uncle, John ‘JD’ Stephens will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
