Jon “Bubba” M Parker

Jon ‘Bubba’ Parker age 59, of Lima passed away 4:35 p.m., Thursday, March 16, 2023 at his residence following a lengthy illness.  He was born June 5, 1963 in Lima to Darold H. and Sandra R. (Gardner) Parker of Harrod. He married Sherri A. Gould who survives.

Bubba was an outdoorsman enjoying hunting, camping, fishing, hiking, and kayaking.  He also enjoyed singing Karaoke and riding his Ohio State Golf Cart around Sun Valley Campgrounds so he could visit with everyone.  He was known for his love for everyone, his big beautiful smile, the twinkle in his eyes and even playing the perfect Santa at Christmas for the children in the family.

His greatest love was being with the extended Parker Farm family and many friends.  He was a farmer with the family and had also worked at Metokote, Rockwell in Kenton, and ODOT.  Jon was a member of the Harrod United Methodist Church and an Ohio State fan.

Additional family members include 4 children:  Jared Parker, Danielle Parker both of Harrod, Kaitlin Knerr of Lima and Krystina Knerr of Findlay, 3 grandchildren:  Lydia Foust, Halynn Hawk and Harlow Hawk; 3 brothers:  Brian (Rhonda) Parker of Harrod, Joel (Liz) Parker of Elida and Devin (Debra) Parker of Harrod a mother-in-law Dorothy Swick of Elida and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held 5:00 p.m., Saturday, March 25 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home Cridersville with Chaplain Herb Wilker officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 to 5 at the funeral home and tailgating is welcome.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Harrod Community Center or Harrod Fire & Rescue.
