Joyce A. Kennedy, age 75 of Waynesfield, died at 2:57 a.m., Monday, March 16, 2015 at Lima Memorial Health Care. She was born December 1, 1939 in Lima, Allen County, Ohio; the daughter of the late Levi and Loretta Prine Sanders. On May 19, 1956 she married Donald Gene Kennedy, who died March 24, 2006.

Mrs. Kennedy had worked at Cridersville Health Care as a house keeper. She was a member of the Waynesfield Baptist Church where she was very involved in church functions and active with the women’s groups. She loved her grandchildren and attending the fairs where they showed their sheep.

Survivors include 5 children – Roxy L. (David) Fogt of Lakeview; William Earl Kennedy of Lima; Donald L. (Julie) Kennedy of Lima; Virgil E. (Damita) Kennedy of St. Johns; John F. (Pam) Kennedy of St. Marys; 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; 7 siblings – David, Leatha, Bridgett, Raymond, Norman, Shirley, and Susan.

She was preceded in death by an infant daughter – Lisa Kennedy and 8 deceased siblings.

Funeral services will begin 10:30 a.m., Friday, March 20, 2015 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. Pastor Don Smith will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
