Obituary

Joyce A. Sarchet age 86, of Cridersville passed away 3:14 p.m., Monday, March 8, 2021 at St. Rita’s Emergency room. She was born Nov. 13, 1934 in Newcomerstown, Ohio to the late Calvin B. and Hilda P. (Hootman) Johnson. She married David Sarchet June 5, 1959 and he preceded her in death Dec. 12, 2020.
Joyce had been a homemaker and worked at K-Mart. She was a member of Cridersville Church of the Nazarene. Joyce enjoyed going for walks, people watching and listening to wind chimes. Her greatest joy came from being with family.
Survivors include 5 sons: Jerry (Lynn) Sarchet, Robert (Cynthia M.) Sarchet both of Elida, Richard (Kim) Sarchet of Fort Myers, FL, Joseph (Beth) Sarchet of Buford, GA, Patrick (Cynthia L.) Sarchet of Lima, and a daughter Susan Brown of Cridersville. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and a sister Betty Triplett of Cleveland.
Private family services will be held at Greenlawn Cemetery, Elida. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to Cridersville Church of the Nazarene.
