LIMA — Joyce A. Freed, age 65, of Lima, OH passed away 5:42 p.m., Friday, June 29, at Lima Manor Nursing Home.
She was born July 31, 1952 in Auburn, New York, to the late Harrison and Ethel Niece Burleson. She married Brice Freed Feb. 14, 1987, and he survives in Lima.
She is also survived by: Harry “Skip” (Joy) Burleson and Dave (Iris) Jay, both of Lima, Kendra (Todd) & Ethyn Allen of Westerville, cousins, nieces, nephews and the children she cared for over the years.
Joyce spent her career as an LPN for the Lima State Hospital. She enjoyed playing Bingo, board games, cards and garage saling.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Larry Jay and Robert Burleson.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 31, at Memorial Park Cemetery, with Pastor Dottie Kaiser officiating. A special thank you to Cheryl Nagy and Southside Christian Church.
Memorial contributions may be given to the family or to the Allen County Humane Society.
