Joyce Ritchey passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, November 16, 2022. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother during her incredible 88 years of life.
Joyce was born December 16, 1933 in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin to Albert and Feema Oleston. Hence her avid love of Green Bay Packers. Joyce was the 11th child of 13! Her zest for life became apparent at a young age. Growing up in such a large family she always made sure her voice was heard.
Joyce retired from International Brake after 38 years of service. She also showed her warm-hearted spirit while volunteering for the March of Dimes. Joyce enjoyed her time reading, playing the lottery, and bartending at the Eagles Club and Moose Lodge- where she made many lifelong friends. Joyce will be remembered as a feisty woman with a heart of gold.
Her love of life was evident in the way she lived. Joyce was such a light in this sometimes-dark world and she will be deeply missed by all who were lucky enough to know her.
Anyone that knew Joyce knew that her family meant everything to her. She leaves a huge hole in the hearts of family and friends who were always entertained by her stories and sense of humor. Joyce truly was the life of the party.
Her spunk and mischievous nature will be forever remembered by each of her grandchildren who were fortunate enough to be ‘glitter bombed’ by grandma on their birthday.
She is proceeded in death by her son, Todd Ritchey and granddaughter, Autumn Jamison. She is survived by her brother, Donnie Oleston, sister, Joan Hoffman, daughters Debbie (Bill) Jamison and Judy (Robin) Evans, 10 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
“Don’t cry because I am gone-instead raise a glass of brandy, laugh at the memories, and be happy you knew me.”
