Judith (Judy) Mae Stainfield, age 82, of Convoy, died 10:35 a.m., March 15, 2021, at the Vancrest Health Care Center in Payne. Judith (Judy) Mae Stainfield, age 82, of Convoy, died 10:35 a.m., March 15, 2021, at the Vancrest Health Care Center in Payne. She was born Aug. 5, 1938, in Ashtabula to the late Ira Miles and Alice Delphine (Stout) Ringer. She married Robert E. Stainfield who preceded her in death in May 1997.
Judy was a devoted member of the United Brethren in Christ Church of Convoy. She taught Sunday School and was the piano player for the church. She was a funeral director’s assistant for Stainfield Funeral Home in Convoy and worked at Aeroquip in Van Wert for 15 years. Judy was also a long-distance telephone operator in Ashtabula and Cincinnati.
Judy is survived by two daughters, Laura (Joseph) Alexander of Cabot, Arkansas and Lee Cook of Columbus; a brother Doug (Delores) Ringer of Ashtabula; and a grandson Kevin Cook.
Private graveside services will be held on a future date at the Edgewood Cemetery in Ashtabula.
