Judy D. Putt, age 79 of Lima, died at 6:05 a.m., Saturday, September 13, 2014, in her home with her family by her side. Judy was born Jan. 7, 1935 in Findlay to Reva Corrine Jacobs who preceded her in death. She graduated in 1952 from Shawnee High School. On Feb. 7, 1953 she married Richard Jack Putt, who preceded her in death on Jan. 28, 2004.
Judy is survived by 4 daughters, Diana L. Siniff, Lima, Brenda K. (Tom) Detwiler of Venedocia, Cindra A. (Roy) Tordiff of Lima and Laura J. Putt, Florida; 10 granddaughters: Sherri (TJ) Stevick, Jennifer (Chris) Mummert, Jessica Detwiler, Lisa Morales, Angie (Eric) Hoffman, Kelly (Dustin) Hunt, Raven Miller, Amy Miller, Katie (Robert) Hendricks and Carmen (Eric) Reed; one grandson Richard Jack Tordiff and 19 great grandchildren.
Judy was the first woman stockholder to practice in the Lima area. She started her financial career in 1961 with John A. Kemper, in 1996 Bell & Beckwith, Oberweis Securities. American Investment and retired from Stern Agee Financial in 2007. She was past President of American Business Women and Spartan Mother Club of Lima Senior. She was Secretary/Treasurer of the Happy Pilgrims at Pilgrim Place.
Judy was also an avid book reader, she enjoyed golf, football, Sports trivia and was an avid OSU football fan. Also, Judy enjoyed caring and loving many cats throughout her life.
Friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m.Thursday at St. John’s Catholic Church, Lima with the Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 10. The Reverend David Ross will officiate.
