Judith ‘Judy’ Ann Pulfer-Golden, age 61 of Cridersville, died 12:16 p.m., Friday, November 23, 2012 at her residence. She was born in Middlesboro, KY on March 23, 1951 to Arthur Lee and Evelyn Sizemore McDaniel. Her father preceded her in death. Her mother and step father Norman Crouson survive in Lima. On May 2, 1997 she married Albert Duane Golden who survives in Cridersville.
Judy worked for Kroger’s in Lima as a deli manager and a cake decorator. She made decorated cakes for over 30 years.
In August 2000, she graduated from Lima Technical College with her Associates degree in the LPN program. She worked at Otterbein – St. Mary’s and the Med Care Clinic in Sidney as a LPN.
Judy loved being a nurse and making her delicious cakes for her family and friends. She enjoyed spending time with her four children, her step children, and all of her grandchildren, and she was awaiting her first great granddaughter, Aalexia Mae. She enjoyed taking special trips with her husband, spending time with her two dogs, Chica and Packer in which were her pride and joy. She loved to make a home cooked meal for her family.
She is survived by 4 children – George (Carlotta) Pulfer, their children – Sierra, Olivia, and Keaton all of Cridersville; Tamara (James) Deubler, their children – Danielle and Briana of Lima; April (Tod) Ruble, their children – Whitney, Austin, Braydon, and Carter of Lima; Denise (Joe) Spicer, and their children – Dylan, Ashton, and Alex of Cridersville; 3 step children – Greg (Mary) Golden, their children – Matt, Jake, Brittany, Brianna, Brooke, Sunshine, Taylor, and Dakota of Columbia City, IN; David Golden, his children – Brandy and Emily of Wapakoneta; Kim (Steven) Critten, their children – Alyssa and Joey of Vaughsville, Ohio; 5 brothers – Fred (Jeanie) McDaniel, Randy (Jennifer) McDaniel, Terry (Cathy) McDaniel and Danny (Lisa) McDaniel all of Wapakoneta; Clayton McDaniel of Lima; 2 sisters – Geraldine (Tom) Hatfield of Middlesboro, Kentucky; a sister – Kathryn McDaniel; a very special niece – Amber (Bill) Pachlhofer, their children – Gracie and Josie of Cridersville; an aunt, uncles, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by 3 brothers – Eddie, Ricky, and Michael McDaniel, Sr.; a sister – Brenda Hawk; a nephew – Michael McDaniel, Jr. and a grandson – Hutch Lee.
Mass of Christian burial will begin 10:30 a.m., Saturday, December 1, 2012 at St. Gerard’s Catholic Church, 240 West Robb Avenue, Lima. Father Michael Houston will officiate. Burial will follow in Shawnee Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Friday at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville.
