K. Bruce Roser, age 84 of St. Mary’s and formerly of Wapakoneta, passed at 4:50 a.m., Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton. He was born August 22, 1938 in Lima, Ohio to the late Oliver Richard ‘Dick’ and Mary Elizabeth Sillin ‘Betty’ Roser. On September 11, 1960 he married Nancy J. Bonham who survives.
Bruce was the owner and operator of Roser, Inc. and Apollo Travel in Wapakoneta. He was a graduate of Blume High School and The Ohio State University. He was past president of the Wapakoneta Rotary Club, Wapakoneta Chamber of Commerce, and the Neil Armstrong Air and Space Museum. His memberships included the Wapakoneta Country Club, Wapak Industry Development, Inc., the Wapakoneta Eagles and Elks Lodges. Bruce served on the regional board of directors with Fifth Third Bank and was an avid fisherman who was a member of the Rockwell Springs Trout Club in Castalia, Ohio, loved to golf, and was a faithful Ohio State fan.
Also surviving are 2 daughters – Martha (Matthew) Mullins of Lima; Gretchen Eisert of Wapakoneta; a grandson – Bradley Eisert; a brother – Carl D. (Marsha) Roser of AZ and a sister – Marilyn (Elmer, deceased) Neuman of New Knoxville.
He was preceded in death by his very loyal and faithful buddies – Ginger, Peanut, Mac, Vinnie, and Wick.
Funeral services will begin 1:00 p.m., Monday, May 8, 2023 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. Rev. Steven Nelson will officiate. Private burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Wapakoneta.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m., Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the Ohio State Marching Band or the Toledo Rocket Marching Band.
