Kay M. DeKok age 73, of Lima died at 3:52 p.m., Wednesday March 28, 2012 at Kindred Hospital. She was born May 27, 1938 in Lima to Arthur and Nellie Brincefield Binkley. Both parents are deceased. She married to Dirk DeKok on April 3, 1960 and he survives in Lima.
Kay was a graduate of Shawnee High school in 1956. She was a member of Perry United Methodist Church, Eagles Lodge Aerie #370 Auxiliary. Also enjoyed bus trips, dancing and bowling. Kay worked as a long distance operator for Lima Telephone Company. She also volunteered with the Perry Township Election Boards.
Survivors include a son Tony (Mona) DeKok of Lima, 2 grandsons: David and Dyllon DeKok, 2 Great Grandchildren: Morgan and Elijah Dekok and a sister Marilyn (Paul) Wilges.
She was preceded in death by 5 half-brothers: Herbert, Louis R., William, Charles Fry and Lloyd Binkley and 3 half-sisters: Louella “Susie” Howley, Mary Sprague and Marjorie Moorman.
Funeral service will begin 10:30 a.m., Monday April 2, 2012 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home with Pastor David Burkhart officiating. Burial will follow at Buckland Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Sunday April 1, 2012
Memorial Contributions may be given to Perry United Methodist Church.
