Kenneth E. Jackson, age 87 of Cridersville, died at 1:15 a.m., Thursday, December 26, 2013 at his residence. He was born September 4, 1926 in Lima, Ohio; the son of the late Gale A. and Corabelle Boroff Jackson. On July 24, 1948 he married Betty Rose Sobosly who died May 19, 2004.
Mr. Jackson retired in 1987 as a machinist with Ford Motor Company. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. With his late wife Betty, he enjoyed bowling and Polka dancing. He loved spending time with his grandkids and great grandkids.
Survivors include two sons – Gail (Laura Simon) Jackson of St. Mary’s; Mark (Candy) Jackson of Wapakontea; two daughters – Libby (Mark) Clapper of Cary, North Carolina; Janet Miller of Cridersville; 6 grandchildren – Eric (Lauren) Clapper, Rachel (Scott) Studebaker, Justin Miller, Brendan Miller, Maggie (Todd) Herbst, and Katie Jackson; 7 great grandchildren – Vivian, Cameron, Jillian, Gavin, Ella, Scarlet, and Emmaline; a
brother – David (Sharon) Jackson of Lima; two sisters Shirley Miller of Uniopolis; Patty Hood of Van Wert; a sister-in-law – Mary Jackson of Lima .
He was preceded in death by five brothers – Dale Jackson, Robert Jackson, Paul Jackson, Richard Jackson, and Burl Jackson; seven sisters – Dorothy Brewer, Betty Herr, Barbara Bradley, Mary Young, Bertha Jackson, Vera Jackson, Helen Workman.
Graveside services will begin 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 28, 2013
at Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima. Katie Jackson will officiate.
