JOSHUA DELASHMUTT left a message on August 17, 2019:
Struggling for 17 years, my sister and I have always wondered what had happened to my mother's (Karen DeLashmutt's) side of the family. All I know is that my mother was vilified by her brother Kevin Bisdorf for not attending her brother Kennneth Bisdorf's funeral through a certified letter. The problem is that no one was informed of the death. It is difficult to attend important family affairs when never notified. I know that there were issues of Mary Bisdorf trying too hard to control my mother's life, so that may have been part of the ongoing toxicity that goes on in this family.Kenneth Bisdorf Sr, my grandfather, will be missed. I remember the times my family would visit for Christmas and Thanksgiving. After Mary Bisdorf's passing, we found out through her obituary that they had been living in Cridersville, OH for the past year. We didn't know, because the family did not notify us which is common. My father and sister took the chance, knocking on his door. My grandfather answered, and after recognizing them, he let them in and had a pleasant visit. He agreed to see me and my sister in the future, but it was delayed by other family members.Unfortunately, his time had passed before I was granted my own visit. I still have no answers about the reason behind the dysfunction of the family, or why we have been ignored for 17 years. I reached out to family in the past and present for the answer with no response.I guess I'm just happy that he wanted to see me again. With luck, I will reunite with him, and my mother when I pass.
