Larry D. Morningstar

Larry Duane Morningstar age 59, of Wapakoneta lost his battle with addiction 12:20 a.m., Thursday, November 25, 2021 in Lima. He was born June 30, 1962 in Lima to John and Ruth (Shaner) Morningstar. His mother survives in Wapak and his father preceded him in death.
Larry retired after 30 years from Nash Finch as a forklift driver. He had earned several certificates for gardening including Master Gardener. He was a NASCAR fan and loved the Ohio State Buckeyes, Detroit Lions and Tigers.
Additional survivors include a son Jared Morningstar of Lorain, daughter Allison (Yusef) Sharaf of Wapak, a granddaughter Piper Ganser of Coldwater and siblings: Kris Morningstar of Lima, Keith Morningstar of Galloway, OH, Deanne O’Connell of Lakewood, WA and Lyn Morningstar of Wapak.
He was preceded in death by a son Tony Morningstar.
The family will receive friends Saturday, Dec. 4 noon to 2:00 p.m., at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. The funeral service will follow at 2 with Pastor Gary Rummel officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery near Uniopolis.
In lieu of flowers memorial may be given to Bright View Lima Addiction Treatment Center 1505 N. Cole St. Lima, Ohio 45801 or to Uniopolis United Methodist Church.
