Laura A. Clymer, age 92 of Lima and formerly of Colorado, died at 9:45 a.m., Thursday, October 4, 2012 at her residence. Born October 18, 1919 in Arcadia, Ohio; the daughter of the late Frank and Ethel Kring Ebersole. On September 19, 1946 she married Norman L. Clymer who died June 8, 2000.
Survivors include a son – Donald Louis (Kay) Clymer of Centennial, CO; Steven D. Clymer of Lima, Ohio; a daughter – Sue Clymer Frye of St. Petersburg, FL; former daughter-in-law – Linda Clymer of Lima; 6 grandchildren – John Lyons of Key West, FL; Aaron Lyons of Spokane, WA; Christina A. Clymer Mosley of Greenville, AL; Dr. Dan Clymer of Philadelphia, PA; Sara Scott of Lima; Amanda Clymer of Lima; 9 great grandchildren – Erica Andrew, Chelsey Lyons, Myranda Mahoney, Roar’n Lyons, Nathan Mosley, Colin Mosley, Ava Mosley, Katlin Mosley, and Savannah Ramage.
She was preceded in death by a son – William “Bill” Ross Clymer who died in 1990 and a foster sister – Ruth Williams.
Mrs. Clymer was a retired school teacher with Mt. Cory, Alger/McGuffey, Buckland, Spencerville, and Wapakoneta. She was a 1937 graduate of Arcadia High School where she was Salutatorian and a 1941 graduate of Bowling Green State University.
Funeral services will begin 10:30 a.m., Wednesday Oct. 10 at New Hope Community Church.
The family will receive friends from 3-6 p.m., Oct. 9 at Fairmount Cemetery and Mortuary, Denver. CO
Memorial contributions may be made to the New Hope Community Church, 176 East Hampden Avenue, Aurora, CO 80013.
