Jean L. Shafer age 80, of Lima passed away 4:30 a.m., Friday, July 20, 2018. She was born Jan. 6, 1938 to Howard and Pauline Berkley Wagner, who preceded her in death. Jean L. Shafer age 80, of Lima passed away 4:30 a.m., Friday, July 20, 2018. She was born Jan. 6, 1938 to Howard and Pauline Berkley Wagner, who preceded her in death.
Jean retired from Roundy’s as a keypunch operator and order room clerk and worked at Kewpee East part time until 2011. She was a lifelong member of the USTA and owned race horses with her son Mike who preceded her in death. Jean also attended the Elderly Daycare where she made many friends and loved playing Bingo and dancing.
Survivors include children Paula Patton of Lima and Robert (Jennifer) Taylor of Philippines; brother: Pauldon (Nancy Orlando) Wagner of Cincinnati, 4 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter.
A private family service will be held at a late date.
Memorial contributions may be given to Elderly Day Care 225 E. High St. Lima.
