Lois Jean Ruley, Age 83 of Cloverdale and formerly of Lima died 11:10 a.m., Sunday, Oct. 27 at The Meadows of Kalida. She was born May 12, 1930 in Van Wert to Paul Bernard and Edna Ellen Cotterman Junod. She married Richard G. ‘Dick’ Ruley May 20, 1951 and he preceded her in death March 15, 1999.
Mrs. Ruley was a retired teacher having taught in the Celina and Columbus Grove Public School Systems. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Lafayette and she had been the organist for Zion Lutheran Church. She had received degrees from Ohio Northern and Wright State Universities. She was a member of the Ohio Education Association, National Education Association and Northwest Ohio Education Association and was also a member of the Indian Lake Moose Lodge Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by a son Ronald E. (friend Sandy) Ruley of Springfield, 2 daughters: Betty (William) Ford of Cloverdale and Randi (Emanuel) Hilt of Lima, 9 Grandchildren and several great grandchildren, 3 brothers: Dale Junod of Highland, NY, Paul (Carol) Junod of Celina and Larry Junod of Greencastle, IN and 2 sisters: Connie (Bruce) Lightfoot of Celina and Mary Ellen (Paul) Adkins also of Celina.
The family will receive friends 2 – 4 p.m. Wednesday at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. A service of remembrance and family gathering will follow at 4.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Zion Lutheran Church or the Allen County Chapter of the American Cancer Society.
