Loren D. ‘Buck’ Lowry, age 91 of Cridersville, died at 12:01 a.m., Saturday, December 12, 2015 at Lost Creek Care Center. He was born May 16, 1924 in Allen County; the son of the late Samuel P. and Dorothy Grace Sellers Lowry.
Mr. Lowry enjoyed retirement, after starting his career as owner/operator of A-1 Auto Parts followed by years of farming.
He is survived by a brother – Richard A. (Mary, deceased) Lowry of Uniopolis; 3 sisters – Carol W. (Robert, deceased) Lee of Lima; Joanne (Richard) Crumrine of Lima; Phyllis (William, deceased) Brown of Elida; a sister-in-law – Ellen Lowry of Cridersville; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a daughter – Sheryl Amstutz; a brother – W. Francis Lowry; 2 sisters – Lois L. (Al) Tully and Dorothy E. Lowry.
Funeral services will begin 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. Pastor Kenny Rader will officiate. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery, near Uniopolis.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Uniopolis Volunteer Fire Department or Rousculp Church of Christ.
