Loritta Louise Bricker, age 77 of Lima, and formerly of Florida, passed at 10:24 p.m., Thursday, June 8, 2023 in Lima. She was born November 9, 1945 in West Virginia to the late Jacob and Louise Johnston Harracks. She married Thomas Bricker, who passed in 2022.
Mrs. Bricker worked in health care. She had a passion for serving the Lord, reading the Bible, and sharing the word. Her hobbies included going to garage sales and flea markets. Loritta was multifaceted, collecting dishes, baby dolls, and costume jewelry, which she loved to wear. She had a talent for writing poems, drawing and loved all animals. She was blessed with being able to travel with her husband, Thomas, and traveled 48 of the 50 states together. Her greatest love and the thing she treasured most, was her family.
She is survived by 4 children – JR (Tonya) Stevens of Lima; Cissy (Mike) Lasch of Jacksonville, FL; Rebecca (Tammy) McCall of High Springs, FL; Sherry (Jack) Kaufman of New Port Ritchie, FL; 9 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; a brother – Robert (Linda) Harracks of Tarpon Springs, FL; a sister – Diane Potts of TN.
She was preceded in passing by a brother-in-law – Robert Potts.
The family will have a celebration of Loritta’s life at a later date.
