Louise A. Simpko, age 81 of Wapakoneta, died Sunday, April 12, 2015 at Lima Memorial Health Care Systems. She was born January 1, 1934 to the late Howard and Dorothy Parker Bechdolt.
On June 17, 1956 she married John Francis Simpko, Sr. who died November 29, 1977.
Mrs. Simpko started in 1951 with the First National Bank, which became Bank One and then retired from Chase in 1996. She was a member of the St. Paul United Church of Christ in Wapakoneta. Some of the things she enjoyed were playing cards, gardening, bowling, the Cleveland Indians and butterflies.
Survivors include a son – John F. Simpko of Wapakoneta; a daughter – Jill E. (Joe) Noland of Massillon, OH; 4 grandchildren – James F. Simpko, Benjamin K. Simpko, Jodi C. Noland, and Jeni L. Noland; a sister – Evonda Erb of Wapakoneta; an aunt – Mildred Paugh of Harrod; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son – James R. Simpko who died December 28, 1998; a sister – Nevelda Williams; and 2 brother-in-laws – Nelson Erb and Byron ‘Spark’ Williams.
Memorial services will begin 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. Rev. Rebecca Sunday will officiate. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
