Lowell F. Crowe age 92, of Lima passed away 3:07 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2019 at St. Rita’s Mercy Health. He was born Oct. 18, 1927 in Hardin County to the late Floyd D. and Anna Pugh Crowe.
Lowell was the former owner of the Delite Café. He was a fan of Ohio State, Reds and Bengals. His greatest joy was his family and he dearly loved his dog, Penny. Lowell was a Korean War Veteran with the 40th Infantry of the U.S. Army from 1950 to 1952.
Survivors include daughters: Sue (Mike) Newland of Lima and Lory Crowe of Cridersville, a grandson Shane Newland and 3 great grandchildren: Haley, Noah and Camryn Newland all of Dublin, Ohio.
He was preceded in death a daughter Nanette Crowe and siblings: Russell, Richard, Everett, Orville Crowe and Irma Jean Van Atta.
The family will receive friends 5 to 7 Saturday, Nov. 23 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. The memorial service will follow at 7 with Pastor Steve Nelson Officiating. Military rites will be observed at 5 p.m. and provided by the Wapak V. F. W.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to St. Rita’s Hospice, The Salvation Army or to Marimor.
