Lynn Kermit White, age 76 of Lima, died Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at 2:45 p.m., at St. Rita’s Medical Center after battling cancer for several months. He was born on October 8, 1937 to Kermit “O.K.” and Pauline (Bible) White who preceded him in death.
Lynn is survived by his sister – Sondra Bechtel (Jim) of Lima, a brother Terry White (Kathie) of Elida, and a sister Jill Becker (Tom) of Walbridge, Ohio. He is also survived by a friend Geneva Williams and many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
He was part of the first graduating class of Lima Senior High School in 1956. He also attended Bowling Green State University and Northwestern Business College. Lynn retired from Philips Display Component Company in Ottawa after 30 years of service. Prior to working at Philips, he worked for Pangle’s Grocery for 13 years. In his retirement years he volunteered at Lima Memorial Hospital. He was an avid train and airplane enthusiast. Lynn enjoyed traveling, watching professional baseball, and supported the Lima Strider’s Track team. Lynn enjoyed following NASCAR.
Visitation will be Friday, May 16th from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville.
Funeral services will begin 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 17th at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. Rev. Joe Wassink will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima.
