Rev. Marcus Brown, age 83 of Waynesfield, passed at 9:29 a.m., November 10, 2021 at St. Rita’s Medical Center. He was born March 23, 1938 in Lunah, Kentucky to the late Edward and Gracie (Smith) Brown. On January 18, 1958 he married Emily Marshall who preceded him in death Oct. 31, 2021.
Rev. Brown had pastored and evangelized for 50 some years. He was a member of Christian Victory Tabernacle and retired from Lima Properties where he had done maintenance. He enjoyed working on small engines, gardening, watching westerns and loved serving the Lord.
Survivors include 3 sons – Sam (Kim) Brown of Delphos; Rick (Laure) Brown Kenton; Todd (Missie) Brown of Wapakoneta; a daughter – Melissa (Gary) Hensley of Waynesfield; a daughter-in-law – Rhonda Kay of Ottoville; 13 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; siblings Betty Rose Dean of TN, Mack (Rosalie) Brown of Waynesfield and Martha (Andy) Prater of Waynesfield.
He was preceded in death by siblings: Ellie Bayes, Forest Brown, Okie Brown, Naomie Brown, Joy Lee, Edward Brown, Jr. and Sarah Brown.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., Monday, November 15, 2021 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville.
Funeral services will begin 12:00 p.m., November 15, 2021 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville; Pastor Dave Mowery will officiate. Burial will follow in Willow Branch Cemetery, near Waynesfield, Pastor Bill Prater will officiate.
