Margaret K. Clow, age 92 of Cridersville, died 10:05 p.m., Saturday, May 14, 2011 in Cridersville Health Care Center. She was born February 10, 1919 in Fayette County, Illinois. She is the daughter of Christian Andrew and Anna Belle Tappee Seyferth. On April 10, 1939 she married Eugene C. Clow who died February 14, 1984.
Mrs. Clow was a homemaker and a member of Cridersville United Methodist Church where she was very active. She was a 1937 graduate of Altamont, IL Community High School. Also she had been a member of the Altamont Order of Eastern Star for over 65 years.
Survivors include a niece – Jackie (Jim) Harder of Leesburg, Florida; a great nephew John (Sue) Harder of Jacksonville, Florida; and an adopted family – Carol & Gordon Lowry of Cridersville and Joe & Susie Carder of Cridersville.
She was preceded in death by 2 brothers – Oscar Seyferth and Robert Seyferth; 2 sisters – Lucille Leonard and Emma Leonard.
Memorial services will begin 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. The Rev. Nola Heilman will officiate. Burial of the cremated remains will be at a later date in Altamont Union Cemetery, Altamont, Illinois next to her husband.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m., Tuesday at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville.
