Marie Snider age 93, of Cridersville passed away 10:12 a.m., Monday, June 20, 2022 at Otterbein-Cridersville. She was born Feb. 14, 1929 in Lima to the late Orval “Mut” and Leona (Edgington) Hengstler. She married Glen W. “Buck” Snider June 5, 1948 and he preceded her in death.
Marie had been a clerk at Pangles Master Markets, she was a member of Cridersville Untied Methodist Church. Marie enjoyed sewing, playing cards, gardening, camping and spending time with kids and grandkids.
Survivors include 3 daughters: Nancy (Monty) Hathaway of Celina, Judy (Tom) Neu of Lima and Sandy (Kevin) Olding of Celina; 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother Orval ‘Bud’ Hengstler, Jr., a sister Mary Koch and a grandson Kyle Olding
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2022 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. A memorial service will follow the gathering at 12 with Charlotte Hefner officiating.
Memorial contributions may be given to Cridersville United Methodist Church or to Otterbein-Cridersville.

Nancy, Judy, and Sandy, so sorry to her about your mom’s passing. I have wonderful memories of both your mom and dad, and good times at your house.

Nancy, Judy, Sandy and Families You have our condolence for your loss. Marie had a talent to satisfy her customers at the grocery and treated them with respect. I will continue to memorialize her and Buck by putting Mr. & Mrs. Santa Clause on the porch banister each Christmas. May God be with you during this special time.

Even though Marie was my first cousin, she and Glen were married when I was just a toddler. Still, we were all part of a large extended generational family, populated with some very wonderful folks. It was an incredibly loving and safe bunch of people to grow up with. I have nothing but fond memories of my dear cousin, and want to extend my heartfelt condolences to her children, her grandchildren, and her great grandchildren, for the loss of this fine lady. You are her proud legacy!
