Marion Jesse Corne Jr.

Marion J. Corne, Jr. age 68, of Kenton passed away Friday September 28 at St. Rita’s Medical Center following a brief illness. He was born to the late Marion J. and Ruth Keck Corne, Sr. in Circleville, Ohio.   He married Judith Hoffman and she preceded him in death Sept. 9, 2015.

Marion had served in the U. S Air Force during Vietnam and had been a medical lab technician retiring from Bluffton Hospital. He enjoyed writing poetry and watching basketball.  He loved SCI FI:  Dr. Who, Stargate SG-1, Star Trek and more.  He also enjoyed British Comedy and superhero comics and spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include children: Amy (John) Carlson and Andrew Corne both of Kenton, grandchildren:  Aidan and Anlyn Carlson also of Kenton, a brother:  James (Carol) Corne of Gahanna and sisters Cindy (Bruce) Rickerd and Barbara (Michael) Geron both of Circleville.

The family will receive friends 10 a.m. until services at noon at Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. Burial of cremated remains will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens, Circleville, Saturday, October 13th.
